Our Team

The faces of the EPs. From concept to completion, these are the people behind the stories that bring each artist’s work into focus.

Sofia Dawson is a journalist, producer, and creative director whose work sits at the intersection of live performance, media, and editorial storytelling.

As Founder of The Extended Plays, she leads the series from concept to execution — curating artists, directing interviews, and overseeing production to shape each episode into a narrative experience that reflects both the artist and their work.

Alongside EPs, Sofia is the Music Editor at The Concordian, where she leads city-wide music coverage across print, digital, and social — managing contributors, shaping editorial direction, and covering concerts, festivals, and artists through both writing and photography.

Her experience also extends into marketing and communications, with work spanning media relations, campaign development, and content strategy at MaRS Discovery District.

Across all her work, Sofia is driven by a desire to slow down music coverage — creating space for artists to present their work with intention, context, and clarity.
